Spring into a Clean Entryway – A Fresh Start Begins Here!
Day 2: Spring into a Clean Entryway – A Fresh Start Begins Here!
Welcome to Day 2 of our Spring Clean Challenge! Today, we're diving into the often-overlooked entryway — the first thing you (and your guests) see when entering your home. It’s time to give this space some much-needed love, making it welcoming for the season ahead. From tidying up to scrubbing and replacing items, let's transform this area into the perfect first impression!
Handy Tools:
Simple Steps:
Straighten up the area, moving mail, shoes, bags... to their designated spaces. Keep only what is useful or beautiful in the room.
Follow the order in Worksheet 2: Step-by-Step Spring Clean Blueprint, printed and laminated.
Mark off tasks (with a dry-erase marker) that do not apply to this room.
Mark off each task as you finish it.
When you finish cleaning the room, erase all marks with a dry paper towel to get ready for tomorrow’s space.
Pack up your toolkit for tomorrow.
Staged for Living Pro Tips:
Add a seasonal touch – A vase of fresh flowers or a light, scented candle can instantly inject some spring vibes.
Add a basket or two – This is an easy way to round up your family’s and guests’ shoes when they come in.
Set the tone with your entry – It takes 7 seconds to make a first impression. Make sure your entry is setting a sparkly clean one! Heart eyes.
Doing this whole-home detailed spring cleaning once a year or so helps me relax during the year, knowing that if I keep up with the everyday and week cleaning, my home is pretty, darn clean.
Let's get started and enjoy the fresh start a tidy entry can bring!

Day 3: Spring into Clean Hallways – Clear the Path for Freshness!
Your hallways are the bridges between rooms, so let’s make them shine! This space should feel open, inviting, and ready to welcome all the spring feels. Ready to make an impression with every step? Let’s spring clean those hallways!
Handy Tools:
Simple Steps:
Straighten up the areas, moving misplaced items to their designated spaces. Keep only what is useful or beautiful in the hall.

Staged for Living Pro Tips:
Keep the hallway minimal – You want your guests and family to move easily through the hallways. Don’t over furnish or over decorate.
Hang pictures of loved ones – Hallways are the best place for that!
Vent cleaning – Dust, vacuum, or wash your vents. This is where your ladder and screwdriver come in!
Schedule a duct clean – Every one to three years, homeowners schedule central air/heat duct cleaning. It helps your air conditioner work well and indoor air quality.
By the end of today’s hallway clean, you’ll have a space that feels neat, inviting, and ready for the season ahead. With these simple steps, your hallways will feel fresh and effortlessly welcoming for everyone who walks through!
See you tomorrow for more spring-cleaning fun.
