  3. Mark off tasks (with a dry-erase marker) that do not apply to this room.

  4. Mark off each task as you finish it.

  5. Hang or put away clean clothes.

  6. Throw dirties in the hamper.

  7. Put like items together so you can find things easily.

  8. Put winter gear in the hamper to wash.

  9. Launder or dry-clean winter coats.

  10. When you finish cleaning the closet, erase all marks with a dry paper towel to get ready for the next space.

Staged for Living Pro Tips:

  • Clean one closet per day.

  • Add or subtract days as needed - If you have five closets, take five days to spring clean them.

  • Consider having a dry clean basket in the closet to contain worn items that need dry cleaning.

  • Put items away neatly.

By the end of these days, your closets will be organized, freshly cleaned, and ready to make daily life a little easier. With a bit of attention to detail, your storage spaces will not only be functional but also a pleasure to use!
